Issue: paypal not working

When using Paypal, a new window opens with URL https://www.sandbox.paypal.com/cgi-bin (and long code that the ticket system doesn’t like!)

I’m not sure if this should be showing something better or is as expected.

Updated PayPal setting on site but now need to reconnect to sandbox. Will work on this with Jo.

Currently working with the team at Give to figure out why PayPal connection not working. Will update once resolved.

Issue: Dashboard behaviour

FInd attached video/screenshot showing the emails received and what it looks like on the dashboard.
I’m not completely surprised as I can imagine there is limitation on the test mode. That is why I have asked for the expected functionality.

The attached files show that the email address the email was sent to does not match the dashboard that opens.
Also the dashboard navgation doesn’t work when you click recurring payment option on the left hand side.

Thanks for the video clarification. It would seem from the details in the video that the issue relates to the email address that was used for the donation. The donation was made using lydia@horoeka.com whereas you are logged on to lydia@adultliteracy or lydia@wheronet (both addresses seem to be linked to the same profile. If you copy the link in the email and paste is into a different browser which is not already logged into the site through a different email, you should find that the dashboard behaves as expected. Can you retest either using a different browser or logout of the new site on your main browser before clicking the link.

Email arrives following payment
link opens in browser but asks for an email address

Title of the message box in Green says “log in to see your dashboard”

Should say – enter password to generate link?
But then I have clicked from a link so behaviour seems wrong.

Email hasn’t arrived after I did the request in this video (13.25 NZ time).

The process here is designed so that donors don’t have to create an account on the site. Instead they can access their dashboard purely by proving they have access to the email account to which the donation has been linked. Let me know if this doesn’t address the issue you have raised.

All registration forms come up with not valid answers in orange and applicable which is great. I would suggest however there be a minimum answer like 3 characters as at the moment, it will let you go through to the next page with only 1 letter as an answer such as Full Name, where are you based etc

DY – Have updated name fields to have minimum 3 characters, address field minimum 20 characters and job title to minimum 5 characters.

When clicking Next on Literacy Camps registration forms, it goes to the next screen and automatically just shows the email address line only. Only when you click Next, it takes you back to the same screen but now shows you that you have input phone number or mobile number too.

Thanks Lillian – question on address – do you want a visitor to be able to find your physical location? Do you have students who visit you? Or would you prefer to just tell people directly who need to visit you where they can find you.

Have updated the form so that the person submitting the form also receives an email. The original email was only going to the admin email address. Can you retest, please.

DY: actually the link opened a new blank page!! (usefully!!). Anyhow, have now rebuilt the page. Can you retest, please. Can you also test to ensure that you receive a confirmation email.
